Bio

Writer. Event Wrangler. Interlocutor.

Dean, Awesome Foundation (Boston)

If you're like me, you hate resumés: writing them, reading them. Don't get me wrong: they have their place. They just tend to focus more on roles and tasks, whereas I think values, experiences, and stories are a more compelling way to get to know someone. So far, I've:

  • Consulted as a professional organizer in Manhattan.

  • Written snappy web copy to help small businesses get the word out.

  • Kept crazy hours pre-event to help make a $1,000,000 fundraising dinner come together at The Waldorf.

  • Toiled endlessly customizing eVites, way before the site's UI was tinker friendly.

  • Randomly created and maintained an unofficial Facebook presence for Chauncy Chocodile.
(I built it and almost 1,000 fans have come. Who knew?)

When I'm not working on my writing or attending tech events, I am scheming with an international cabal of talented, energetic, smart people known as the Awesome Foundation. Serving as Dean of the Boston chapter, I wrangle events, media inquiries, and the behind the scenes internal stuff that makes the magic happen.
